    Hi,

I'd like to keep my battery separate from my laptop when I'm using AC power, since the heat from the laptop will shorten the battery's life. However, this leaves the battery connections on the laptop exposed. Does anyone know of a cover that I can make/purchase to make sure the connections aren't damaged?

    Thanks!

No, I don't think there is such a thing. I had a Toshiba A100 and left the battery out for half a year and my room was also in the basement and no corrosion or anything on the connections. And the battery is under the laptop so I doubt you will bend the connections. If you really want to, I guess you can tape it up with some removable tape, but that would be a hassle if you need to use the battery.
