    dvd rom drive doesn't close

    i don't know why i keep having these minor problems with my nc8430 but now my dvd-rom doesn't seem to close or lock itself in. every time i try to push it back in it just pops right back out. i hear the click sound which is the sound of "hook" releasing for the dvd rom to pop out when i push the eject button. the "hook" seems to be working but it doesn't seem to cling on to anything... any ideas? this notebook is giving me more headache than i bargained for..

    Is the notebook still under warrenty. If so call hp and they will send you a new one
