A few days ago i had a slight accident with the laptop where it was accidentally hit by my sisters blu-ray player and then the system got screwed with the hdd.Just got the new western digital blue 500gb hdd and installed that, ran hdd tests from bios and hdd passes all tests unlike the original hdd it came with.i have made recovery discs of vista from it when i first got it.When ever it gets to final disc toplace files onto hdd after it finishes formattiong it gives me some 1002 error and then can't finish.Any one know what may be wrong?Contacted hp but they will not serviceit since the lpatop was hit bt object and considered abuse. So far it seems i am gonna be stuck withan $800 dollarpaper weight system :(.

Burned recovery disks are known to be error prone. Obtain another set from HP and try again.
