    Hello all,

I am just about to order an external WD MyBook Premium SE edition (the one with eSATA interface) but I realize that I need a laptop with eSATA...

My DV6000 does not have eSATA but I was wondering if I can use an express card? Will such a card fit where the remot is now or does the DV6000 not have card expansion slots?

    TIA

    Check out www.ExpressCard.org
They have links to eSata EC cards available right now. I think even Dell sells them, and possibly even HP at this point.

Thanks - I was confused about the difference between express card slots and older PCMCIA...

    All resolved now = )

    Hi,

I have zv6000 and i am also planning to buy an external hardrive to install Linux on it..I am planning to get Segate 500GB External HardDisk..

There are two models one with just USB2.0 and the other with USB and eSATA

I am not sure whether i can connect this harddrive to my laptop using eSATA. My notebook has an Expansion Port2..
