    ok i want to use my notebook for recording guitar and i want to have my mic imput to come out of my speakers as i record, so i know what im doing. i was told i have to change the value on EnableImputMonitor in regedit. Now there is no enableimputmonitor in my regedit so i was told to create it in the speakerhp folder which i also do not have. anybody have any ideas?

    Wouldnt ur recording program automatically play out the sound that is being recorded?

    I think you just have to Unmute your MIC on the volume mixer control thats what i usually do on my desktop computer

    i cant unmute the mic there i no option for it in the mixer. and because i cant unmute it it wont come out of the speakers in any program.
