    I was on skype today and my camera was hd when I was talking. I thought the envy webcam had problems with skype HD??

    not that I know of.

    the envy camera has problems showing up as HD in the original envy webcam software (an update fixed the software)


    but it is a 720p webcam, shouldn't really care what program is used so long as the program works with it.


    Main skype problem I know of is that one where the speakers are used even if you have headphones plugged in (IDT audio being finnicky)

    yea its HD in skype, heard a few things before so was surprised

    I dunno. It may vary depending on envy 14.

    I remember one didn't even wanna work with the camera at all (though this was google voice).

    Mine used to have a purple tint, but that's gone away after the last couple clean installs so *shrugs*

    It's funny how HP markets the webcam as HD (and it is), but it's lower resolution than many other computers (1, 1.3, 2 megapixel webcams)
