envy 14 questions

My thread was moved and frankly i dont know why, i dont think people on the "help me find a laptop" section will be able to answer these questions.. .probably becasue i said i was considering a mb pro. anywho, im heavily considering getting a envy 14, but i have a few questions just so i can try to avoid getting another crapper like my current laptop.

my questions were:

1. Heat/Temperatures while gaming - my current laptop hits about 87 degrees Celsius on the gpu, and 90 on the cpu while gaming. i need my next laptop cooler. this one is unbearable to game on your lap, or to do anything very intensive... including watching a video. when i watch movies on the bus my computers fan kicks into full gear, i get an extremely loud whine, and it hits about 75c. ridiculous. i would like someone to post their gaming max temps... just use hw monitor and play for like 20 mins and post what it says

2. CPU whine - this laptop has a loud high pitched whine. how loud? when in a classroom of like 50 people, its distracting, in fact, my teacher asked me not to use it in his classroom anymore.... its a programming class. everyone has a laptop, but you can only hear mine. is this laptop quiet?... like... quiet for classrooms

3. Build quality - my laptop has had a few problems. its built of crappy little pieces of plastic and i have had no covering on one of my hinges for a year. also, my screen sucks. its not bright, the colors are off (im colorblind and I noticed it... just imagine what my freinds think) and it had to be replaced 6 months in and it still sucks... also, my dvd drive no longer burns cds... it does dvds fine, but not cds. is this unibody like the macbookpro? cause that would be . if not, how is the build quality in general?

4. Speakers - honestly, i have no big problem with my speakers (its a laptop, im not expecting great quality), but they are slightly quiet. can anyone tell me if i can hear the speakers well in a aviary with around 25 birds? cause my laptop i miss things when im watching my comedies in there.

Lastly, i want your opinions, low end i7 or the i5-450m? im using 3ds max's mental ray renderer for 3d. so the 4 cores is a plus, but im curious about the whole turboboost thing. does it come on automatically? or do you switch it on? is it toggleable between modes like that?

thats extremely helpful, thank you very much. did you get the radience screen or the regular? im trying to decide which one i should get.

 

radiance of course, im in australia and bought from an actual store, so i dont think we've got the option of non radiance!

bare in mind as well that the display model when i went to buy had a few issues, notably cpu whine and real bad keyboard flex. i checked mine before i left to make sure it didnt, of course, but it was a little worrying at first. i bought it a few weeks ago so the display model wasnt actually on display yet, it was just the one they had available to demo.
