Was wondering if people could chime in about the durability of the beats edition compared to the regular envy. Is the rubber coating on the beats just rubberized enough so that you can still tell it is an all metal chassis? I've had rubberized metal devices in the past and am just wondering if it wears off before I pull the trigger on a purchase.

My beats edition has been awesome. You can't tell its painted by looking at it. Looks amazing, not too keen on the reg envy look but to each their own. Get it if you like it. no scratches or blemishes yet. its holds up well in my backpack and getting tossed around.
