    Hi,
I have a 2 month old HP dv5200tx and it has started scrolling at times even when i place my finger right in the middle of the pad. this is giving me headaches because i cannot use my lappie without my USB mouse.
I really dread approaching the HP customer care if it really comes to that. Are there any more people facing the same problem and hv they found any solutions.

another queer problem that i have is a mild shock on my forearms when i put the laptop on charging.

I would request notebook gurus to mention and look into the common problems faced by users of the reviewed company and also if they are addressed in the reviewed product. Like many HP products have keyboard problems e.g. dv8000 series and the likes. It will help in having a clearer picture before shelling out the bucks.

    Ciao.

Try uninstalling the driver for the touchpad and then reinstalling it. If the touchpad is not physically damaged in anyway it should cure your issue.

Sounds like your AC adapter could be going bad. You might have a short somewhere in the ac adapter. If you can, attempt a different adapter to see if you still get the mild shock.

In regards to the last paragraph, I love my 8000t. I have solved the keyboard issue and I have not noticed any other issues with the notebook. I am glad I purchased the 8000.
