Hi, I bought a dv6000t CTO a little under 3 weeks ago and I'm receiving an error message:

Windows Media Center Store Update Manager stopped working and was closed.
A problem caused the application to stop working correctly.
Windows will notify you if a solution is available.

I did some research and I found some people saying it was caused by the Google toolbar, so I uninstalled it, but I still get the message. I contacted HP support and they told me to reinstall the operating system which seems like a hassle for one error.

    Any suggestions?

    The specification are:

Just disable the update manager and check updates manually. I'm not too familiar with where you can find that but I'd check the regular places

    1) Start > Run > msconfig > services and/or startup tab
    2) Start > Run > Task Scheduler > Local Library > look for update manager task
    3) Configuration option menus in the windows media center itself
