...did you ever experience this? I ordered a dv4000 this morning. I just got a call from HP asking me where my mother, father, and sister live. By the end of the call I felt like I had just had my privacy violated. Was that really HP?

I have no idea. It was all "for security reasons". They knew, however, that I purchased an HP computer. They also knew my billing and shipping address. It was really strange.

I have a really bad cold, and I'm super busy at work. If I was a little less fuzzy, I probably wouldn't have gone along with it so easily.

Yeah im thinking security reasons. When i applied for the HP Financing i had to call and they asked all these weird questions about where i use to live, parents age etc. So that's more than likely why.
