Hi, i have a omen dc1041nl, which after the repaste runs way quieter/cooler than stock.
But the omen control center (which is... at least devoid of features?) has no fan control option at all, i used to have 3 profiles but with the last update they removed the "confort" one, and i'd like to make it run quieter in non-gaming situations.
They say both speedfan and notebookfancontrol don't work on this laptop, is that true or there are workarounds? Or other ways to control the fan speed?
Thanks in advance

if u look at the 15/17 OMEN thread I posted a notebook fan profile (not made by me) for my 2019 Omen 17 model.
Try it out and see if it works for you too. -
i got the file but i don't know where to put it can you help?

Just copy the file into the specific NFC folder (where you installed the fan control program). Then open the program and select the specific omen profile and put NFC on active. If it works you should be able to adjust fan speed on the go.

is it safe to use this file control?
-
Yes, if it works it will spin your fans harder and faster than the basic omen fan setup, thus dissipating more heat (in exchange for a somehow lowder system). If it doesn’t work for your notebook, it will not affect the system. Try it, start a game or a 3D benchmark program and see if it kicks in.

It does work on my notebook but it works hard then suddenly switchs to slow which makes me worried about the fans. I don’t know if it’s suppose to do this or not.

It’s normal that is stops spinning hard after a while when temps go down. When temps go up it aggressively uses fans to dissipate heat more efficiently: It’s part of its profile. Just check the cpu/gpu temps and if they remain within good parameters even when it spins slowly you’ll be fine.

It does keep the temps cooled but what i mean that it spins very hard then it switches then it goes hard again.
