ok, now i got my envy 17 3d, and i am wondering whether there are any files that i could need later, ie. that need to be backed up, before formatting the drive and doing a fresh install of win 7 ultimate x64.

i am thinking about the 3d demos for instance..

also, regarding heat and performance - i read lots of posts stating that after some time, the heat issues get fixed - probably because of the thermal paste needs to be exposed to some heat first.

i havent had any heat issues by now, since i havent done anything demanding yet, but i am intending to do so right after win 7 ultimate is installed.

so... shall i let the envy run some cpu & gpu stress tests over the night? :D

    thanks
