Is there a higher-capacity 12 cell battery i can buy to use with my dv6tse? mine came with a 9 cell which is 93Wh, most HP 12 cell i found is only 95Wh...

Also, what form of MXM is the HD5650 using? is it further upgradeable? is there a videocard within its range but perform significantly better than 5650? (getting low FPS with fallout 3 when in the wild)

Third, has anyone done a OS reinstallation to get rid of the bloatwares? I reinstalled mine with win 7 pro 64bit but i can't get the biometric device to work. contacted HP and they have no idea either..

Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance!

I will keep it short and sweet, as I like just answers.

1)The 9 cell is the only large capacity battery that will fit that form factor.

2)The 5650 does not use MXM, it is soldered onto the motherboard. You are stuck with what you have. For Fallout 3 a 5800 series would be better and is avaiable in the 17", DV7T I believe

3)The fingerprint reader, or valitity sensor as hp calls it can be found on the forums, Im not sure to its exact location, but several people have stated its here and used it.

The Fingerprint Reader related stuff for the dv6tse May Edition is no longer offered here, due to inconsistent results, so your best bet is the validity driver and your Digital Persona that is located in your SwSetup folder.

The NBR driver thread for the dv6tse is located here.
