i recently purchased a dv6500 and the fingerprint worked fine, in the beginning. ive only had it for ablout 12 hours and in the past hour it has stoped working. i looked in troubleshooting and it said to look in the device manager. wheni looked in there it wasnt in there. how is this possible. troubleshooting says that you have to re install verisoft but how do you do this without an install disc??? help plz this is really getting on my nerves for some reason!!!

Did you accidentally uninstall any software? There should be no reason why it stops working.

If you haven't uninstalled anything or if you haven't done anything software-related, you may have damaged the reader... in record time.

How crooked is it in the holder...?
