With digitalPersona you need to use FingerFox(SE) extension in firefox to make it work.

Hmm... Just installed the FingerFox(SE) add-on and it tells me that I'm not at a logon screen when I go to forum.notebookreview.com and even Gmail. That's a shame too. The FP reader works well in IE but I want my FF!

I have a CTO DV9700T too. My Digital Persona version is 3.0 and I noticed the add-on link from FF says it's compatible with Digital Persona 2.0.

If anyone gets this to work, please let me know!

I use Verisoft for firefox, its a little buggy though. Some sites it works perfectly but on others it just fills out the Username and doesnt enter the password.

flipfire, do you know if the verisoft software can be downloaded or does it have to come on your version of the laptop? I had read in other thread about you using it with FF. I'll admit ... buggy at times or not, I'm jealous!

I dont think it can be downloaded from HP. It should be in your SWsetup folder. If not i can upload it somewhere, if its legal

LOL, flipfire, legal? why not, if a software which is offered by HP and not on their website, that's wrong. so if you have it, whats wrong with sharing it with other HP users. Its supposed to be on the website.

When I got the DigitalPersona, I gave it to whomever asked for it. Legal? I don't know, but HP should put it on their website, it's their problem, not mine.

Ah, I just checked my SWSetup from before the clean install and it only has the Digital Persona. You don't have to go to any trouble of uploading, especially if you're worried about it. I can just wait and hope that FF comes out with a fix down the road. It's no problem.

You need to run the FingerFox first before swiping your finger. Click on FingerFox icon or press alt+X and then swipe your finger..
