    finished the reinstalling OS but probelm

    i used the OS that was downloaded. and it worked. i installed all the drivers untill the audio part. i went into the folder and installed it. but still no sound from my laptop. everything works fine except for my sound. i dont have sound. can sumone help me fix this problem?!

    after the reinstall its really fast now. :)

    Glad to hear the reinstall worked for you. You need to install the Microsoft HD Audio bus driver before you can install the actual audio driver. The MS bus driver is located in /SwSetup/1UAA/Disk1 folder. Run setup.exe from there and then reinstall the actual audio driver after.

    nvm, it was always working, just that the guy who made this CD turn turn off some sound in the windows. this CD that i downloaded already had the drivers installed so i didnt need to slipstreme

    this windows xp is weird. the taskbar and the start menue looks 3D. my old one that came with HP. was the old style. lol
