The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    i dunno i never tried firefox 2.0 and i tried the beta ie7 and i didnt like it. but i use opera

    I don't think this really applies to anything relating to HP in particular...

    This belongs more in Software, I would guess. If there isn't already a thread on it.

    I got both but already had my issues with the proper release of IE7 crashing.

    So firefox 2 for me...I was using firefox 1.5 before as my primary browser so 2 is just great for me.

    Install both, use them for a while and decide which one is best for you. Also even if you dont want to use IE7, it is better to have it installed just to plug the holes in IE6.

    One more thing this is posted in the wrong section of the forum(this has nothing to do with HP) and if you search through the correct section of the forum you will notice many such threads discussing the the good/bad of each browser.
