    I charged fully and have been discharging off and on since then (without recharging). Once I've fully discharged for the first time, do I need to do a full recharge, or is it ok to charge incrementally?

    It is fine to charge whenever you need it, now that you have broken it for the first time !

    It is still recommended to fully discharge and fully charge it once every 1-2 months, just to recalibrate the meter.
