    fn Key Problem

    hey

    i have problem with the fn key in the past when i want to use it i should press the key and the fnumber key

    now when i want to use the fn i only press the fnumber key and if i want to use the fnumer only i press the fn key

    ex: if i want to refresh page i press fn + f5 and if i want previeus in mediaplayer i just press f5

    i hope you got the problem

    HP Pavilion dv3-4070ee Entertainment Notebook

    On many HP models, that is an option you can toggle in the BIOS setup... whichever way YOU like.

    Yeah, there's an option in the BIOS to switch "action keys" with the f# keys(or something similar...returned my dv6 for a 1080p screen, so don't know exactly)

    There were some f keys I don't use, so I used Sharpkeys ( RandyRants: SharpKeys 3.0) to remap to the keys I needed.

    there is no option for fn key in bios

    any help ?
