I've been using fn + f4 to project laptop screen onto the external monitor without any issues until today. When I press fn+f4, the laptop responds, showing the outside monitor picture in the lower right corner, but no projection actually takes place. However, when I go to invidia display settings and put settings to CLONE, projection to the external monitor works. What could be the issue with the fn+f4 function? Thanks!

I'm not sure exactly.... is it the same monitor?

I tend to just go to the properties normally because Fn+F4 rarely works properly for me. I also like the options of duel view e.t.c.

I use the fn+f4 shortcut in teaching every day for power-point presentations, and today it failed to work for some reason. Thinking at first that the problem was with the classroom screen, I tried projection with computer monitors in different places, and it still didn't work anywhere--unless i do it manually through "properties." Strange!
