    function key permenantly depressed after bios update

    Hi, is anyone having the function F1-F12 controls happen without first pushing function key? So now I have lost usage of the F keys unless I want to control hp envy functions like raise brightness or lower it. This happened after the most recent bios update...

    Go to the BIOS (press F10 on bootup), and disable Action Keys. By doing so, it will make the original function of the F keys primary, and makes you press FN + F-key if you want to change brightness, backlit keyboard, etc.
