hiya, well after 3 dv5z' with heat issues, i finally settled with a dv5t, just brought it home. one basic question regarding vista CLEAN INSTALL:
at hp's website, the specification page of a consumer model has this statement written regarding recovery 'including possibility to recover the drivers, softwares and operating system seperately' .... ?
so all these ways of removing bloatwares, how do i do it using the recovery system itself?
the clean vista install guide, whatever there is, it's a bit hectic. how can i go this way? any help please?

*oh, i realize i haven't changed my sig*

The recovery system will restore your laptop to the exact way it was when you purchased it, including bloatware. I'm not sure i understand your question.

3 dvz's? why not opt for the dvt's immediately after?

do a clean install, update all, then use the complete pc backup in the vista tools. :)

ahh well, the dv5z' were cheaper, i just got the dv5t today and i must say, AMD is nowhere even closer to INTEL, man i'm loving it. specs are:
    P8400
    3GB RAM
    250Gb HDD
    nvidia 9600M GT
    infinity display
it only lacks a fingerprint reader, wish i could do something about it :(

ohki now, my question was, it's written at the hp website that using recovery, we have a possibility to only recover the operating system and drivers, NO bloatwares, but i don't see any option in the notebook. so i seeked you guys help.

as for clean install, it looks very complicated to me :/ i just don't know what vista disc to get and then installing all the necessary hp drivers hampers me from going that way. i'd rather spend some time uninstalling stuff myself, using CCcleaner etc.

i checked the temperatures and WOAH, cpu idle at 30c :O compared to the 70c i was facing in my previous amd turion ultra's. ****!
and 9600M GT at idle is 47c, which is fine i suppose.
so no more heating worries. i can finally enjoy a dv5..
just help me with the clean vista install :( and btw, any recommended 9600M GT driver? please could you gimme a link to it.
