Hi all - I've decided to buy the nc8430, and I noticed the HP smartbuy options are generally much better bang for the buck than custom-configured ones on the HP site.

I found this deal for an RB554UT model (T7200, 1GB DDR2, 100GB/5400 HDD, wsxga+) off pricegrabber; I figure I can up the RAM to 2GB myself later from NewEgg (when I have money again ;)).

Anyone have comments on the price and store? Know a better place? CostCentral has a pretty mediocre rating at reseller ratings, but it's got much better reviews at PriceGrabber, so I'm thinking it's ok.

Cost Central does not accept returns under any circumstances, only exchange for defective. Better make sure it is what you want.

Thanks for that tip, and yeah, I know what I want :) I've been deliberating over this for months, lol...
