i am thinking about buying this notebook instead of the m1330. i am having trouble deciding between the LED screen or the bluray drive. which one would be better. would i be able to buy a bluray drive in the future and put it in? does the dv4t have any heating issues. i heard that there are less heat related issues with the western digital 250gb drive because that wd runs more cool. are there any issues i should know about?

I would get the LED display instead of the blue ray drive, because that would be something hard to add on later on especially if you are not technically inclined, but a blue ray drive would be easier to swap later on since the dv4t has a removable drive. so in the future you could probably swap out yours and put the blue ray drive in. Shouldnt take more than 5 mins to install then another 10 to do the drivers and configuration. I would make sure that if you plan on upgrading to the blue ray later on then you opt for the nvidia graphics.

i heard m1330 has heating issues as well, especially with the 8series nvidia card. well if dv4t really has issues hd difference wont be the only cause. but they are offering a free upgrade to 250GB why not get it :)

i would go with LED too on that.

The only issue with those aftermarket drives would be the front bezel which wont exactly fit the HP chassis. The front bezel should be removable but haven't tried on the dv4t, so don't know if it would fit the aftermarket drives.

    No. It's a Blu-Ray ROM only.
