    Hi all! i'm considering buying a dv5t and i'm concerned about the weight, heat and battery life of this configuration :

    ounces...If you are worried about what the weight of a TV Tuner will add, then this is not the type of laptop for you, especially with that 12 cell battery addition. Get yourself a good messenger bag or computer backpack :)

    you're not going to feel the difference in weight the tv tuner makes. the tv tuner is just a small circuit board that is plugged into the mainboard

    nice setup there.. the only thing,, well not the only thing, but the graphics card is the most heat inducing part really, and you have the middle of the 3 offered, so, i think you'll be ok as far as heat goes. you have both batteries, so you have a backup just in case. obviously the more intense you use the computer, the quicker the battery will die.
