    help!! notebook display not working

    i have an hp dv6500 and i recently hooked it up to an external display. i made it only display on the external monitor, downloaded monitor drivers and juiced up the refresh rate to 100. i turned off the computer and now when i boot up i dont get anything on either display. i tried holding and pressing fn + f4 but no luck so far. anyone got any ideas?

    i had a similar problem although i could get the display to come back by hibernating or stand by and then waking it up. I sent it in for repairs, first they replaced the lcd, i got it back and the problem was still there. Then they replaced the motherboard and problem fixed! It was a hassle though... took almost two months.. hope you have more luck then i did.
