    hi all i got a HP pavilion dv2630ea and was wanting to put xp on it as vista sux lol i tryed 2 install but it cannot find the hdd when it starts setup im assuming it is to do with the fact the hdd is a sata drive, i know abou the "f6" option to install stadalone sata drivers but 1 i cannot find any and 2 if i do find any how do i install them as you need a floppy disk 2 do this, and the laptop does not have a floppy drive, any help is apreciated

    In BIOS, chance the ahcpi mode to compatible. Then after the OS is installed, install the SATA drivers and change back the mode to SATA.
