    hi all,

I'm trying to slipstream my hp 5000t SATA driver in windows xp pro, it worked perfectly but its failing in continuing windows installation with different errors like "can't format drive" and on start of copying it says "Setup was unable to verify drive C: you may not have enough memory or CD contains corrupted files". I'm doing following:

    1) Locating windows source
    2) Task Selection - Selecting All
    3) Integrated Drivers - Insert ->Single Driver->iaahci.inf->Intel 82801FBM SATA AHCI Controller (Mobile ICH6M)
    4) Compatibility - None selected
    5) Remove Components - None selected
    6) UnAttended Mode - Default Hide and Oem PreInstall - selected
Rest are default, i didnt touched those

so kindly tell me wats wrong, thanks

    regards
    faraz

I prefer to do driver integration the hard way:
    http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/view/web/36/
Also read the companion section on integrating regular drivers:
    http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/view/web/35/
If you want to have apps and such install on first boot:
    http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/view/web/31/
I highly recommend RyanVM's integrator and post-SP2 update pack:
    http://ryanvm.net/msfn/
I generally do the bulk of my integration work with RyanVM's stuff and manually and then finish up with nLite for final tweaks and to build the DVD image.

well really i dont understand the process u'v refered me like in the hard way of integration i dont know where is $OEM$\$1\DRIVERS\ path plus in "si3112.sys = 1,,,,,,3_,4,1" does i'v to change just the sys file in it or the rite side as well

I'v heard from guys here that using nlite is straight forward to slipstream driver my first target is to get windows installed on my notebook, then i'll play with other stuff, kindly tell me the way i'm doing nlite is correct or not, or wat i'v understand from hard way that i can slipstream sata driver without using nlite, i thnk its better but i dont understand it fully. i'm gona attach my oem file for ur reference, so kindly if u can create that section for me which i can include in my text.sif file plus if u can explain me the steps, btw i'v copied the windows files from original windows cd to my hard drive and this is where i'm doing all this.

    kind regards
    faraz

slip streaming anything other than SATA drivers are eas with nlite. You just basicly just need the .inf files. Some other .inf files might require additional files. But SATA drivers is really a tricky one....

I don't know but this looks promising:

    1. Copy all the contents of your SATA floppy drivers into a folder on your hard drive.
    2. during "Integrate Drivers" select insert > multiple driver folder.
    3. select the folder you saved the contents of your SATA drivers.
    4. there might be another screen where it will want you to select a SATA model from a list.

I haven't personally tried it. But it sounds like it should work....
