    help with Compaq v2000 keyboard

    I am having a problem with the keyboard on my v2000 laptop. Every time i try to type a capital s using the shift keys nothing happens. however i can type a lowercase s as well as a capital s using the capslock button. Although not a major problem it is def. a nuisance. today i bought an external keyboard as a remedy to the problem but the same problems persist. I would greatly appreciate any advise to the problem. Thanks in advance
