    hi i have a hp dv2670 itried to install xp on it but it did not see the hardisk i follwe the sticky theard of how to make a sata xp but the same problem so please is there any thing to do it to downgrad it from vista

    Hi there,

    First up, congratulations on choosing XP over Vista :)

    Here are a couple of this to check:
    1) Do you see the hard disk in the BIOS screen when the computer boots up?

    2) Have you booted up via the XP CD-ROM, usually that will detect your hard disk and allow you to format it. Make sure you back up all your data first.

    3) You may also want to make sure that you hard disk is secure in the laptop and where there are any configuration settings in the BIOS which you have not activated.

    first yes i see my hardisk and i booted from xp but it did not see the hardisk becase its sata btw i follow how to make a bootable sata xp and i use it but the same thing
