    help, remote dv2500 don't work

    A few months ago, I still use my remote but nowadays I can't use it anymore. I have checked my remote and it can work with other HP laptops. I reinstall windows xp, then vista and all drivers that I can find on HP.com for dv2500 but it doesn't solve the problem.
    Does ir remote need any special driver? :( Or my ir receiver has problem? How to check that?
    I just intend to send my laptop to HP but I need to use it everyday so it's not convenient for me. :(
    Any suggestion, everyone? Thanks for your help.

    IR port drivers are bundled with the Quick Launch button drivers. Try reinstalling that.

    I also reinstall quick launch but it doesn't solve the problem too :(

    Sounds like a hardware issue if both won't work, I know that installing the Quick Launch drives work, because it did for me.

    Have you tried using the other laptop's remote, their remote on your laptop?
