Your best bet would be to completely reinstall the operating system.

If you can get the Vista Anytime Upgrade DVD (no, you don't have to buy an upgrade), or order "replacement media" from MS for about $10, you can get the real Vista DVD that you can use with the key on the bottom of your notebook.

As Greg said, a clean install of Windows should wipe all the bloatware out. Just make sure to have a recovery disc and other such precautions before attempting one if you're new to it.

Or you could just do them one by one.

Ironically, you'll spend more time installing all your drivers again after a reformat than it takes to quickly go through the uninstall program list to pick out up to 15 or so programs you know you aren't going to use.

Follow the instructions here for a clean install http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=120228

The HP bloat is pervasive and uninstalling bits here and there aren't going to do the deed in a pristine manner. Recovery disks contain all the bloat so there's no point using them hoping to get rid of the unnecessary software. Having done the clean install myself it's hands down the best method.
