I been looking for the same folder for days. I went to a few stores today and all they have is vista on there notebooks. Get one with XP and use your jump drive to put it on.
-
im pretty sure people here have this folder. its only a couple of MB and people still dont wana share and help
-
the swsetup folder just contains all of your drivers as a backup. you can go download the drivers yourself. someone giving you the swsetup folder isnt going to help you reinstalling windows, you still need an xp disc.
-
And its not "couple MB'
-
Yes I agree but I will gladly take the one folder that then gentleman from England is asking for.
-
aphexacid, read the tittle. all i need is the HDD folder in the Swsetup. i dont need the whole folder
-
I'm assuming you both (HPFan and denmick) just want the C:\SwSetup\HDD\ directory (not the whole SwSetup directory which is over 2 GB).
I uploaded it to: http://www.mediafire.com/?2umjdmx1iin
It's from a dv2000t system, and will only do you any good on an Intel-based system.
Hope that helps. -
aphexacid cant read lol. thx jade, hope it works
-
no problem -- let me know if there's anything else you guys need before I put away my backup
-
it works, finally have SATA enabled. ill Rep points u
-
I can read just fine. you apparently dont know how to. you could have found the sata driver on hp's site just the same.
-
aphexacid, im not dumb. if i could have done that, why whould i ask u guys here? the sata driver from HP.com requires a floppy disk and i dont have a usb floppy disk.
-
HP Fan what model notebook did you put sata driver on.

hi guys, im having trouble with this file. I chose "iaahci.inf" then chose Intel 82801GBM SATA AHCI Controller and it restarted then turned SATA back on in BIOS but it keeps taking me to the Boot Menu "Start WIndows Normally, Safe Mode, Safe Mode Networking...etc" and then flashes the BSOD
Any ideas? Tried the other 82801XXX drivers but still no go...
I have a dv2000t that shipped with Vista Premium. Perhaps I have the wrong chipset drivers first off? I am not certain at this point, i thought it was the ICH7 drivers from HP's website i needed to download.
any ideas?
hi, need SwSetup/HDD folder for my XP
