I been looking for the same folder for days. I went to a few stores today and all they have is vista on there notebooks. Get one with XP and use your jump drive to put it on.

the swsetup folder just contains all of your drivers as a backup. you can go download the drivers yourself. someone giving you the swsetup folder isnt going to help you reinstalling windows, you still need an xp disc.

I'm assuming you both (HPFan and denmick) just want the C:\SwSetup\HDD\ directory (not the whole SwSetup directory which is over 2 GB).

    I uploaded it to: http://www.mediafire.com/?2umjdmx1iin

It's from a dv2000t system, and will only do you any good on an Intel-based system.

    Hope that helps.

I can read just fine. you apparently dont know how to. you could have found the sata driver on hp's site just the same.

hi guys, im having trouble with this file. I chose "iaahci.inf" then chose Intel 82801GBM SATA AHCI Controller and it restarted then turned SATA back on in BIOS but it keeps taking me to the Boot Menu "Start WIndows Normally, Safe Mode, Safe Mode Networking...etc" and then flashes the BSOD

Any ideas? Tried the other 82801XXX drivers but still no go...

I have a dv2000t that shipped with Vista Premium. Perhaps I have the wrong chipset drivers first off? I am not certain at this point, i thought it was the ICH7 drivers from HP's website i needed to download.

    any ideas?
