Just call HP and ask them, it will take you 10 minutes max and you will get your answer right away. This is why I always tell people to get your batteries when you order your laptop, and this is for a couple reasons:

    1. The batteries are more expensive when you buy them separately from the laptop.

    2. If you used a coupon to purchase the laptop, the batteries are discounted as well.

    3. You don't have to go through the hassle of ordering batteries after you buy your laptop.

well i was just wondering what the model number was because someone on the forum was able to get an oem hp 6 cell for $30 on ebay. If I were able to get the high capacity for a little more I would get it, that is much cheaper then ordering through hp regardless of the discount.
