I think my honeymoon with my dv2000t is over now and I noticed some problems with my dv2000t:

    1. rmclock shows that the CPU temp is 41 degree centigrade but the fan is still on, although barely noticeable.

    2. the usb slot on the left side is a bit loose, though it functions well and I can use a glue fix it.

    3. keyboard is OK. Not excellent but usable.

    4. the screen I got is LPL and it generally nice though I have to adjust the view angles to have a view with rich color.

    5. imprint finish is trendy but I got a lot of finger prints on it. No complaints I need to do the house keeping sometimes I guess.

    6. Altec Lansing speakers are good but more bass is desirable.

Don't get my wrong, I still like this machine very much and the user experience is far better than my T43P which I temporarily owned.

Also I think my dv2000t deserves better treatment and should not work regularly for p2p stuff. Are you guys using your laptop for p2p? Is it harmful to the machine?

I also have a question and hope you guys can help with it:

how can I make the machine even quieter? The fan is constantly on (with CPU temp reported by rmclock at 42 degree centigrade).

The fan also cools, albeit somewhat poorly IMO, the graphics and hdd. You might also have a malfunctioning fan (I had this particular issue on my DV6000Z). In any case if it bothers you that much, give HP tech a call. Make sure you purchase a copy of "Hindi for Dummies or HP customers". You'll need it :D
