Just upgraded my memory from 512MB to 1.5GB (with a 1GB stick).
Everest shows that they are running on DIMM1 and DIMM3.
How can I tell whether they are running on dual channel?

You aren't running in dual channel. To run in dual channel, you need to have two "matched" memory modules, meaning same size, speed, cas latency, etc. However, I way to check would be to download a program called CPU-Z, google it, you will find it. If you want to run dual channel, you should by another stick of 1 GB that matches the one you just got. However, from what I have read, the performance gains in running dual channel are barely noticeable. They will only really show up in benchmarks, which aren't necessarily an indication of "real world" performance. Hope that helps!

Thank you. Just checked. Under memory tab, cup-z says Dual. Shall I trust it ?

Well that is odd....in the tab where it tells you dual channel, what frequency does it say......if it says ~667MHz........you should be running on dual channel.........i don't know why that would be the case though if you have mis-matched modules, I am still a little unsure as to why it says dual channel to begin with....let me know the speed, perhaps someone else will enlighten us....

I guess someone on the forum told me something about asynchronous dual channel. But it seem that intel does not have this info.
It is the fouth tab of cpu-z, i.e. "Memory" then under "channels" it says dual
how can to tell I am running on Dual Channel?
