    Go to http://www.monitorsdirect.com/toolkit/index.shtml .

Click on the "Launch Calibrator" toward the bottom of the page. You can check for dead pixels as well as other settings for your display.

Hey man .. i tried running that dead pixels test. However, can't run it for some reason. I mean I click on launch calibrator, and then on the dead pixels test. All that appears is an instruction screen and a black screen behind that..with a few white lines over it. If you'll can help me out on this I'd be greatful

    Hi,

Once you see the instruction screen, there suppose to be two list. Read the one on your left and pretty much follow its steps. Once you click go, you should see a red background, click on it will give u green background, follow by blue, black and then white. From the direction, depending on the type of dead pixel you have, you should see it clearly appearing on one of the listed background. Mine appear on the black and white background, but stay pretty clear on the other three. Hope that help.
