    how to fix the keyboard stuck problem?

    i still havent find a way to fix~~~ help me please :(

    the ctrl key some time will auto stuck~ ~ i use dv5000 and my computer made in china

    FWIW, my stuck keys problem has diminished over time. Maybe the keyboards just need to be broken in? Not that I'm excusing HP for not getting it right the first time, laptop keyboards no longer being bleeding edge technology and all.

    You're probably best off following the massive stuck keys thread. The dv8000 series has the same problem, if not worse.

    "being bleeding edge technology and all": I was making a sarcastic comment about HP's failure to make a correctly working keyboard.

    "best off following": the stuck keys thread I linked to is the most appropriate place to get answers for your questions.

    szabodabo: I suspect we should all go back to using Latin as the universal language, though I'd miss tormenting foreigners with English :D.

    Regardless the keyboard sucks, my shift, ctrl, and the left arrow keys sometimes get stuck. Meaning once its pressed, it stays down. Piece of crap machine, and HP support doesn't give a rats ass about you. Lesson learned= never buy from hp again.

    Try using a USB mouse instead of the touchpad. Since I have used an external mouse I haven't had a single problem.

    I had my laptop for about a 1/2 year before I had trouble. I recently re-installed the synaptics driver for my model - L2005CO straight from the HP driver site and at the moment the keyboard problem seems to have cleared up. However, I am suspicious at the moment of Windows Update. It wants to install a synaptics driver that is newer and not listed on the HP site. My problems may have started with that driver but I am not sure. I myself will NOT let Windows Update instally that driver just to experiment but I'm offering this up as a task for someone who has time. Maybe the whole problem is the wrong synaptics touchpad driver supplied by MS?

    Well, unfortunately again I am back to the subject. It seems that the Synaptics Driver from HP did not work out in the long run ... It or maybe it was only a key combination but something worked for a while during booting and rebooting as I updated the operating system but on power off of the laptop I'm back to failure of the keyboard. I Really, really hate this...HP NOT solving this problem reflects how they feel about keeping their customers
