    how to insert remote control into the side slot?

    I got a remote control for my dv2000t but I don't know how to put it into the side slot on the side of the left palm rest.

    The slot is blocked by a slip of plastic and I tried to open it without success.

    i think its got a small button/square u depress on one end of the plastic thing, a stick-like thing pops out push that and the plastic bit will go out. replace with ur rc, thin part goes in first buttons facing top,

    That's for PCMCIA, not express slots!

    The slot is spring loaded. So push the plastic blocker in until it won't go any more, then it will pop out enough for you to pull the rest out.

    The same goes for the remote when you get it in.

    Just push it in real hardd, after that just remove the plastic slip and use the remote only for the slot.

    Hi Thinkweird,
    I have a DV5030 with the remote. Just push it in and release it quickly and it will pop out about a 1/4 inch or so. Then just pull it out. A Warning though you should NOT need a lot of force to pull it if you do it may be hung up so push it in again and see if it releases.
