    how to make recovery dvd for COMPAQ V6030

    hi
    i just bought this COMPAQ V6030 15.4" AMD TURION 64 X2 MOBILE TECH LAPTOP
    it didnt come with the recovery dvd and it didnt prompt me to make one when i started it first time
    can any one help me to make recovery dvd for this pls?

    Windows XP or Vista? Assuming you havent removed or reinstall the OS..In XP, it should be located in Start->All Programs->System recovery->Create restore discs. Makse sure you have either 2 or 3 DVD's or 1 DL DVD or 10CD's. RW or rewritable media does not work with the recovery software. if you are using Vista, it should be located in the same place as well.

    when i click start---all program
    there is no option named system recovery
    what should i do?

    Does your system still have the restore partition on the hard drive? Is this a new computer or a used one? The recovery software only allows one copy of the image to be burnt to disc. So, if the previous owner has already burnt them your only option would be to either ask the previous owner for them or order them from HP for a price...
