    hi, im getting my dv2000t on tuesday and i might wana reformat it. but i have no
    clue how to do it.lol :D

    is it a good idea to reformat it :confused:

    id say not to reformat it right away since after you uninstall everything you could get some programs that get rid of the un used registry keys and un used files and those programs will be useful in the future if you download programs alot. but if you really want to reformat, its simple.


    if you have a windows cd just boot from the cd and go to install windows and delete the partitions and then make new ones and then proceed to install, if you have the recovery cd it shouldnt be that hard either which it will most likely guide you through the whole process but you'd still have to make the partitions which is a piece of cake .

    does un used registry keys make your comp slow or sumthin? and if u use the recovery cd, dont the bloat ware install again?

    yes the unused registries slow ur comp down, and i dont know if it puts bloatware back on it, as i havent got my laptop yet its still in production but a few threads i seen says it does but i think theres some threads that tell you how not to get the bloatware back, i think anyway.
