    how to remove the dvd rom from a dv9000

    hi can anyone help me with some guide on how to remove the dvd rom from a dv9000, i will like to trade it with a dv2000 instead because the dv2000 dvd it only burns at 2x and it should be at 8x so can anyone help please.

    It is very easy to swap out. There is one screw on the bottom of the laptop (there will be a symbol of a cd by it) and then you take a paperclip and put it through the hole on the dvd rom and pull it out.

    Make sure you get the drivers for the new DVD-ROM you are putting in.
