    how to turn off the loud beep sound?

    I specified a password in Bios Setup but whenever the machine boot up, there is a loud beep sound.

    How to turn it off? (note: it is not the button sound)

    I've been trying to find out the same thing...my nc8430 does it as well. I'll let you know if I find a solution.

    It's also the sound when your battery reaches "critical level".

    they are talking about the BIOS beeps which is very loud and alerting.

    Since theres no option to disable it...the only thing i can think of is using a BIOS editor to go deep inside the BIOS
