I registered for the program but i cant figure out how to get the discount. Do i have to wait for some sort of email confirmation that i was actually accepted into the program?

I have tried going thru the process of checking out and buying a computer but no discounts actually ever show up.. I'm trying to purchase an envy 14 if that matters at all.. Can anyone give me any assistance please and inform me what i'm missing... Are their certain hoops i need to jump thru in order for it to show up? sorry in advance.

    i signed up here:
    HP® Official Store —
i ordered my envy and the price included the student discount (the product will be listed with the green hpa icon next to it) I have not had to verify my account yet but was told during sign up that i might be called to verify it in the future.

I believe you need an *.edu email for verification.

No, I used gmail and it worked fine.
They might verify before they proceed with your order though. You have to check a box saying that they may contact you to verify. I think using a .edu email would be wise though.

It is rare for them to contact you for verification with a .edu address but it does happen. The chances are good they will contact you without one though.
