hp 6730s review?

I'm currently about to submit a 6730b (not s) review. Maybe it will be of any help to you.

 

Thank you sjordi. Design is very important to me and 6730b and elitebook is the same old hp design that i don't like. 6730s is the new hp design that looks much better to me. I hope that build quality is not worse than that of 6720s.

 

finally it arrived on first look it looks a little dull but working on it makes u wonder if it really so power house i am really impressed with this laptop i owned a dell before but hp is better than dell in all respects even if it is support or other

its has all things a basic business user or software engineer requires.Not all unnecessary
ports all those which we use once in life time.nice backup for 5 hrs on normal without wifi on.and dvd use good viewing angles nice vibrant screen and good cpu of 2.0 ghz ram can upgraded to 8gb with dedicated graphics 256 mb nice for older games direct x 10.1 and web cam and microphone inbuilt for voip

 

Thanks a lot vinsam. Could you tell us something about build quality, heat and noise. What display do you have, antiglare or glossy. Did you have a chance to see both of them.

 

yeah i had seen both of them not much difference only if ur a hard core person mostly works outside in daylight then u opt for anti glare both if them is almost same little less reflective and not that bright i have bright screen

abt build quality its quiet lik its predecessor 6720s satin finish with black mostly plastic with high quality lik most laptops a noticeable flex on screen now in most hp laptops new version from 6730b all of them have it even 2230s also have it but nicely built black all over keyboard very good not as previous 6720s good cushioning lots of space for hours of typing no palm pain lik that

heat is not a issue as it written on laptop is always warm lol left palm rest get little warm fine does it job not always on u hav a option of turning it on always if it on ac outlet left palm rest gets heated coz of hard drive(fujistu)
but is bearable.

Noise is not at all issue only sounds when u run heavy programs or lik dvd that too quietly u have to put u r ear to the vent to hear can be easily used in library or boardroom meeting. light weight

in comparison to dell i would say go for HP u get better service not to hang on phone for hours for in case for a replacement or damaged piece.

Last but not least its a performance machine not a multimedia or desktop replacement

my cousin bought its previous one it installed Xp in 4 mins can u believe ????

 

Many thanks vinsam. It seems that hp build quality is going down too. Keyboard is better or worse than that on 6720s? Didn't understant that part

 

a lot better better built no flexes in mine at least not only that its quiet comfortable to type it on long hours

i am also a software engg ... build quality of most laptops r same dell too on business laptops similar to hp and hp to similar to dell in desktop replacement laptops .

Today i had a chance to play with 6730s for a while. And it was a BIG disappointment. I was really surprised with the 6720s build quality, no flex and excellent keyboard but 6730s is another story. Very flexible keyboard that feels cheap and sounds cheap. The same with touchpad buttons. But notebook looks really great.
Can anyone here compare this notebook with inspiron 1525 (build quality, keyboard and display).
