I am still trying to decide between either an hp or compaq (any of the widescreen amd models - sempron, turion, athlon64). While reading a review on the - I think - v2000z - I see that if you get the 12 cell battery it sticks out! See here:

Personally, I think this looks tacky. I was wondering if only the compaq models have the battery sticking out when you get the notebook configured with a 12 cell battery, or this applies to the hp line of notebooks as well. Particularly I'm concerned about the hp zv6000.

If I go with the compaq v2000z, it'll definetly have to be a 6 cell battery :(

The zv6000/R4000 12 cell battery does not stick out and fits flush with the laptop case.

The only batteries that stick out are for the more mobile laptops of both HP & Compaq. The 12 cell sticks out only in the HP L2000, DV1000, Ze2000, DV4000 and their Compaq versions.

It might look funny to you, but it's great for working; the title is very nice for typing and working.
