Keep your eye on the Notebook & Tech Bargains section of this forum. The mods posted a $500 off coupon a couple of days before any other coupon site had it. And since those have a limit, time is of the essence! That's where I got my coupon code anyway.

FatWallet is also good about posting deals. You can also get a cash back rebate through there even with a coupon. I did that on both of my laptops and got the cash no prob. Nice addition on top of the coupons!

    Good luck!

I recently bought a new dv9700t laptop with the $500 coupon. I have posted extensively on the coupon topic. Feel free to do a search for my posts for additional details if interested.

Do you have to go through the entire checkout process to enter the codes? I dont see a coupon code box in the shopping cart like dell has?

You have to start going through the checkout process and you have to have a HP account. That is the only way you can enter in the coupon codes. Also realize that if you have the Student Discount pricing on that no coupon codes will work unless they specifically state they can be used with the Student Discount.
