Ok, I'm about to purchase the HP dm3 1130us for $499 after rebate.

Looking for pros/cons or alternative recommendations. This will be for my wife, primarily used for web/email and occasionally word processing. This laptop seems like a good fit at a good price. I don't want to spend more than ~500 or so.

Also, how long has this been out? Will HP be introducing a new one soon? I could wait a bit if I new something better was on the horizon.

I bought one a few weeks ago, overall I like it, it is pretty quick ( came with 4 gig memory IIRC, and is very light and pretty good battery life - I got over 3 hours playing movies on an airplane. No optical drive. The touch pad is too smooth so it has a lot of friction, I just put some blue tape on it, and it works better.
