okay so ive lurked around the forums for a bit and havent really found a thread thats hit my issue, so here goes,

my laptop has a 1600 x 900 res size and when i hook it up to my tv ( sony 60" led full hd) it stretches my image and i cant see about 1 1/2 inch of my computer image . ive tried going to the resolution settings on my laptop but if i switch the res to a lower setting it doesnt do anything.
ive set my setting to CENTER image but that leaves me with a crap 4 -5 inch black border.

anyone have this problem or know a solution?
